Heavens To Betsy - Stay Away [1993]

Sooo today’s lecture in Philly about the riot grrrl movement has me thinking about Heavens To Betsy a lot this week. And I just wrote 5 paragraphs about this band, this record, this song, but none of it satisfies the fact that you oughta just sit down with the lyric book and listen to this whole record straight through sometime.

It is basically is a 40-minute lesson on how to say “no” to things that are terrible and soul-crushing and how to say “yes” to yourself and your friends.
